Relocation to Cyprus

Cyprus is an EU and euro member but is outside the Schengen area, so travel to and from the mainland is a border crossing. Greek and Turkish are the official languages and English is widely used in business and administration. The island has been divided since 1974: the Republic of Cyprus administers the south, and the areas in the north are outside its effective control, which is a material fact for anyone considering property or residence.
