Relocation to Romania

Romania is an EU and Schengen member — its land borders opened in January 2025 — and keeps its own currency, the leu, rather than the euro. Romanian is the official language and is a Romance language, unlike its Slavic and Hungarian neighbours. The Carpathians arc through the middle of the country, separating the Transylvanian plateau from the southern and eastern plains.
