Relocation to Switzerland

Switzerland is not an EU member but is part of the Schengen area through bilateral agreements, so EU and EEA nationals move here under the Agreement on the Free Movement of Persons rather than EU freedom of movement. It keeps its own currency, the Swiss franc, and has four national languages — German, French, Italian and Romansh — with the working language depending on the canton. The cities covered here span the German- speaking north and centre, French-speaking Romandy and Italian-speaking Ticino.
